Woodland has been selected as one of 10 cities in California to receiving a grant funding three more police officers, U.S. Attorney General Lortta Lynch announced late money as part of the COPs (Community Oriented Policing) Program. Nationally, there was $107 million awarded to various agencies.
Locally, by which I mean the Eastern District of California there was $7,651,000 awarded.
