The most recent brouhaha locally has been about the newly planted lawn in front of the new Yolo County Courthouse. It was, no question, a major faux pas on the part of state Court officials to plant grass rather than putting in drought-tolerant landscaping.
As Cath Posehn stated recently "After four years of drought, and as most conscientious Californians are letting their lawns turn to gold or are taking them out, the large expanses of lawn in front of the new Courthouse seem surprisingly out of place and tone deaf.
